General Outlook of Identified Genomic Regions/QTLs Associated with Salt Tolerance Traits in Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)

نویسندگان

چکیده

Salinity stress declines plant growth and its efficiency, which is leading to a substantial reduction in crop yield. Presently, the worldwide challenges are meet food consumption demand, along with decreasing productivity per unit area at same time of environment. Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) one major cereal grain crops losses gain yield exceeds 60% due salinity stress. Now, it imperative develop comprehensive understanding salt tolerance contrivances assortment reliable indices crucial for breeding salt-tolerant wheat cultivars. The specific chromosomal location these genes or genetic loci has also been partially characterized through QTLs mapping that cannot use directly programs. This information helps efficient transfer into other cultivars molecular tools. review highlights using association techniques identifying novel QTLs/genomic regions associated can help improve marker-assisted

mapping qtls associated with salt tolerance related traits in wheat (triticum aestivum l.)

salinity stress is a major limitation in wheat production. the lack of economically viable methods for screening salinity tolerance in field is an obstacle to breeders. in this study a population of 254 recombinant inbred lines (rils), derived from a cross between roshan × sabalan was assessed in glasshouse during the seedling phase in order to identify quantitative trait loci (qtls) for salini...

Potassium induced salinity tolerance in wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)

Water culture experiments were conducted to study the response of ten wheat genotypes to external K application (10 mmol KCI dm3) at seedling stage under saline condition (0 and 100 mmol NaCl dm3). The data showed that there was an increase in the shoot and root length with the application of external K. The increase was more pronounced under control than under saline conditions. The better per...

Expression partitioning of homeologs and tandem duplications contribute to salt tolerance in wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)

Salt stress dramatically reduces crop yield and quality, but the molecular mechanisms underlying salt tolerance remain largely unknown. To explore the wheat transcriptional response to salt stress, we performed high-throughput transcriptome sequencing of 10-day old wheat roots under normal condition and 6, 12, 24 and 48 h after salt stress (HASS) in both a salt-tolerant cultivar and salt-sensit...

Combined Genomic and Genetic Data Integration of Major Agronomical Traits in Bread Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)

The high resolution integration of bread wheat genetic and genomic resources accumulated during the last decades offers the opportunity to unveil candidate genes driving major agronomical traits to an unprecedented scale. We combined 27 public quantitative genetic studies and four genetic maps to deliver an exhaustive consensus map consisting of 140,315 molecular markers hosting 221, 73, and 82...

Genetic Analysis of Androgenetic Traits in Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)

The objective of this study was to estimate genetic parameters and to investigate the type of gene action in controlling androgenesis in wheat. Two wheat cultivars of Grebe and Houtman were reciprocally crossed with two synthetic genotypes of Do1 and Pol and then a complete set of the parents, F1, reciprocal F1 (RF1), F2 and back-cross generations (BC1 and BC2) of each cross were used for anthe...
